Cross-stitch-12.8.2010

During our school days, our teacher taught us how to do cross-stitch.  I still remember I had stitched a boat but my workmanship wasn't very good. I did frame up my first piece of coss-stitch needlework eventhough it wasn't perfect but it was precious to me.  That happened long long time ago.  After displaying the needlework for many years, the needlework seemed to look old. There were yellow stained on the cloth and I threw it away.

My second attempt was also many years back and I had improved my cross-stitch. My third one wasn't bad too.

Oh yes, my fourth piece was the best, it was made of  small colourful beads. Beads were put together on a string and sewn onto the cloth.  I sewed a couple, bride and bridegroom.  I thought of giving it to my nephew as his wedding gift. It turned out to be extremely beautiful.  To me, that was a perfect piece, my masterpiece and I love it very much. I was pleased to gave it to him.  That my best and last piece of cross-stich needlework.

Look at the kitten's expression, very pitiful and cute right?

In case you are curious how my fourth Cross-stitch looked like,  here is a picture of the wedding couple. I don't have a copy of the completed beads Cross-stitch.  Based on this picture, you can imagine how the completed beads Cross-stitch looked like.
