Painting on brands bottles - 31.12.2010

Finally, I have my Glass Paints for Glasses and Ceramics. I was so excited that I wanted to try out on my Brands bottles. Brands Chicken Essence bottle as well as other plain bottles can be beautified by painting flowers or designs on it. Here are some examples:-

I am not very good at it yet. I will practise more. Hopefully the next bottle will be nicer and hopefully I have more to offer next year including painting and knitting etc.

Here I would like to take this opportunity to wish you and your family "Happy New Year". May the year "2011" brings you good health, wealth and happiness. Bye-bye to Year "2010" and Welcome to Year "2011".

Best Wishes From,
Jeck

Biscuits Tin-16.12.2010

Isn't it amazing that we can change a biscuits tin's surface to another design or to whatever design we desire?  Painting is amazing and interesting.

My project was painting bears on a biscuits tin.  The bears are playing musical instruments such as piano, flute, violin etc.  They are like a small group of musicians performing their popular music. This band made my biscuits tin looked very lively.

Started painting a few bears

Without bears, without band.

Without band, without music.

Without a good instructor, without a good music.
Without me, without bears and music.....hahaha...everything is very important. Everyone has its own role.

When music ends, it's time for me to end here.  Bye!

Painting Doll on a Board-15.12.210

Good evening,

I have recently completed painting a doll on a board.  Funniest thing was when I showed it to a few of my friends, they said the doll looks like me.  Hahaha....I wish I am that cute. I have copied this picture from somewhere else.  I have modified the doll face but honestly no intention to make it looks like me...hahaha....

There is a tag on the scissors stating " Crafts Forever".  I like that words because I love Crafts and Arts.

Serving crafts.

Very well equiped.

I will paint on those cake boards which I have collected.  Thanks to my colleagues who kept the cake boards for me.

Aloe Vera "Tong Sui" (Dessert)-7.12.2010

I felt like drinking "Tong Sui" today but I have nothing to prepare. Suddenly, I thought of my Aloe Vera plants in my garden.  Then I thought about my another ingredients to cook with my Aloe Vera.

I've boiled a very interestig Aloe Vera "Tong Sui" today.  Take a look at my "Tong Sui".

Isn't it interesting?  It looked colourful, attractive and tasty too.

The ingredients are Aloe Vera flesh, big dates ("mut jou"), red dates, wolfberries and a little bit of sugar.  Of course, the main ingredient is water....hahaha....

Aloe Vera is known for its benefits for health and nutrition.   It has many essential vitamins, proteins, minerals, amino acidand enzymes.,

Well, this "Tong Sui" is very benefiting too.  Aloe Vera is good for skin, red dates are good for blood and wolfberries are good for eyes.  See what I mean.  So, do not hesitate to try it.  I love it and it's very easy to prepare.

Squidgy Beanbugs-4.12.2010

Knitting trend is back again.  All of a sudden, I found 8 of my colleagues are very keen to learn knitting after seeing my post on knitted toys. I am glad that at least they see my blog and all my efforts are worthwhile.

Now every lunch time, they spend their time wisely doing knitting.  I am happy to share my knitting knowledge to them although I am not an expert.  I have knited 2 Beanbugs. I am now in the process of knitting Morag.  I will post my Morag once it has been completed.

Here I would like to wish my colleagues "Happy Knitting".

Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam

For those who had visited Ho Chi Minh, I guess they had a very good experience and enjoyable holiday.

Ho Chi Minh has its interesting places to offer.  I personally find Cuchi Tunnels and Mekong Delta are quite fasinating. Going through the Cuchi Tunnels was quite a good experience and taking a boat trip along the narrow waterways overhung with dense vegetarian along the Mekong Delta was interesting for me.  Cuchi Tunnels are an extraordinary underground maze that has several levels of tunnels totalling almost 250 kilometres in length.  There are also a lot of sightseeings such as Binh Tay Market, Presidential Palace War Museum, Notre Dame Cathedral Basilica, Notre Dame Church, Main Post Office, Thien Hau Pagoda, orchards villages, handicraft workshops, bee farms on the islands etc.

I love the those fine Arts at the Lacquer Factory.  Lacquer is a special liquid which is painted on wood or metal in order to protect it and to make it shiny. I have posted a few of the Lacquer paintings from Ho Chi Minh City for you to admire.

There are also lots of interesting things and unique souvenirs for sales such as clothes, shoes, bags, key chains, book-marks, lacquerwares, lacquer paintings, coffee etc.

Vietnam's official currency is Dong but of course US Dollars are very much appreciated.

Anyway, here are a few Lacquer paintings which I would like to share with you.

Well, you may admire more than these beautiful Lacquer paintings in the Lacquer factory.  So, do not hesitate to make a trip to Ho Chi Minh City  if you want to see more.......

Wishing you have a pleasant trip there in advance!

Painting on Cake Board-26.10.2010

Hello There!

After eating your cake, remember you can make good use of the cake board.  For example, you may paint the cake board for decoration or for other purposes. The painted cake board can be used as cover, placemat, wall picture etc.

So, whenever you finished eating a cake, do think of recycling the cake board.  Hope you enjoy eating your delicious cake and enjoy painting like I do.

Beautiful flowers on black background.

Paper Clay Object-17.10.2010

Hi There,

I have been busy lately, no time to update my blog.  I am back now with a few new creations.  I have used Paper Clay to create a few ohjects.

Paper Clay is ideal for freehand modelling for any object or moulding reliefs.  It can be used to make artificial flowers, deocrations, sculptures, puppets, mask etc.  There are coloured clays or just pure white clay.  By kneading, forming and polishing the paper clay while still not dry with your damp finger to obtain a smooth surface, you may shape it into any object you wish.  The finished model or object must be dried before any paintings can be done.

You may store up the unused Paper Clay in a plastic bag or an air-tighted container in a refrigerator.

Some samples done by me are as follows:-

More Stones-19.9.2010

Here is a stone specially painted for my Art Teacher, Dolly. A token of appreciation from me to her. I have joined her Art Class since last year, December 2009.  I have learned a lot from her regarding painting especially painting flowers and yet to learn more.  I am sure we have a lot of projects to do later on.  Keep  browsing on my blog, I will assure you that there are more things on Arts to be posted later.

More stones for my colleagues. Hope you like those stones too.

I love all my creations and all stones are precious to me.  Have a nice day!
