My friend, Doris gave me another challenging project. She asked me to paint a key holder box with a "TIGER" on it for her sister, Stella. I told her I don't know how to paint a "TIGER" and I haven't come across with painting animals. She said, "since you can paint flowers beautifully, I am sure you can paint a tiger. Just surf the net for a tiger and copy it only." Then, she also asked me to paint her a stone with a pig on it. She wanted to give it to her brother-in-law as a paper-weight, a special gift for her brother-in-law. Wah!, easy to say then done. Anyway, I told her I will try my best to get her what she wants, a "TIGER" and a "PIG". A "TIGER" and a "PIG". Well, what an interesting and challenging project?
When I reached home, I couldn't stop thinking about how to paint those two animals and how to go about it. Suddenly, I thought of a cartoon tiger. It's much easier to paint a cartoon tiger. So I called Doris just to confirm whether she wants a cartoon tiger like those in Disneyland. But, so happened I was told that she was having her afternoon nap. So, I decided not to wait for her and just make my own decision because I wanted to get thing done as soon as possible. In the end, I decided not to paint cartoon tiger because I am afraid it's a bit childish for her sister. This is what I have done finally.
Doris, here is a "TIGER" and a "PIG" as promised.
I would like to take this opportunity to thanks my dear friend, Doris for making my painting so interesting and challenging and also all the supports given to me. I hope she will request more from me. It will helps me to expand my creativity.
Goodnight!
