Tea Break-5.3.2011

Hi again,

Whether it's Tea Break or Coffee Break..... I just love the break...hahaha... It's nice to have a cup of tea or coffee for a break.  It will he ideal if there are cookies or cakes.........yummy!  It's nice to relax with friends and chit-chat for a while once a while or every evening. Tea Break is very important when you are stressed out.   It's a perfect way to release tension.  Talk it all out and have a good laugh, have a good conversation. Relaxation will cure all the sickness and keep the doctor away and keep you working.....hahaha....

I have painted this Tea Break board to decorate my tea area and to create a nicer environment for Tea Time. The two boards below are not varnished yet.

My 1st board

My 2nd board

The last one was varnished and ready to hang up. Now I can have my tea or coffee and admire my own painting at the same time...............hahaha........

See ya! Bye!

Sunflowers Painting on bottles-23.1.2011

I had painted some sunflowers on a few bottles.  As a 1st timer, I found it wasn't easy to manipulate the brush. Well, practice makes perfect.  Although I am not perfect yet but I would like to share my paintings with you.

In order to create a glowing appearance, we use a very solid yellow Glass Paint for the 1st layer of sunflower petals.  Then we add a bit of Flow Medium to thin down the white Glass Paint to get the transparent effect for the 2nd layer of sunflower petals. It will make the petals looked more translucent and real.

A closed-up on transparent glass.

A closed-up on a coloured glass.

That's how my sunflowers looked like..............

"Nga Ku" and " Lap Cheong"-22.1.2011

"Nga Ku" steamed with "Lap Cheong" is one of the most popular and simplest dishes for Chinese New Year. Just combined the two things and steamed it.  It's very easy to prepare, simple and tasty.

Well, my mum just happened to cook this dish and we enjoyed it very much.  Hope you enjoy it too.

Bye!

Artists - 10.1.2011

Artists are usually very skillful, creative and imaginative. Inspiration is very important to them.   If Artists are inspired by someone or something, they will have new ideas and have strong feeling of enthusiasm.  Thus, they will have better performance and as a result their piece of Art work will be very impressive.

I am very impress with talented Artists.  Guess this is the reason why I wanted so much to knit this toy, an Artist.  He looksvery professional.  I was very excited when I was knitting this Artist. I wanted to complete the work as soon as possible. I wanted to see the end result. Finally, I have it done.

Stay still, don't move!

Okay, I got it!

He is very "Yeng Cai", leh? Hahaha.............. This is one of my favourites.
